Earl Brown is a co-founder of Wright & Brown Distilling Company, in Oakland, California. Brown and Dan Wright, designed, built and launched Wright & Brown Distilling Company, Oakland’s first distillery since Prohibition, in 2014. Wright & Brown make award-winning small batch spirits with an all-copper Vendome pot still.
Wright & Brown make rum from 100% grade-A blackstrap molasses with long fermentation and age in a mix of ex-bourbon barrels, toasted french oak barrels and new charred American oak. They enjoy experimenting with fermentation and distillation techniques to create a unique lineup of rums that run the gamut from smooth and rich to heavy and funky. Their rums have no dosage or coloring added and are non-chill filtered.
